Top Five Disney Afternoon References/Easter Eggs in DuckTales (2017)

The Disney Afternoon was a television block that ran for the majority of the 1990's. It featured DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers and many more Disney Classics. In the 2017 reboot of DuckTales there are many references and easter eggs to some of its shows. Today we are going to be looking at my five favorites!

#5 Cities/Towns

There are many different towns and cities from Disney Afternoon shows referenced in the DuckTales Reboot. In the first episode Woo-oo, there are references to Cape Suzette from Tale Spin, St. Canard from Darkwing Duck and Spoonerville from Goof Troop. Also we get a reference to Cape Suzette in the Season One finale "The Shadow War".

#4 Don Karnage
In the episode of DuckTales: "Sky Pirates... in the Sky" we meet the villainous Don Karnage. Don Karnage was also the main villain of Tale Spin! Now I've never seen Tale Spin (yet), but when I watch it I can't wait to see more of Don!

#3 Powerline

If you've ever seen "A Goofy Movie", you know who Powerline is. He's a rock star that Max Goof is a huge fan of! In the episode of DuckTales "Raiders of the Doomsday Vault" Dewey and Della sing the Powerline song "Stand Out". If you're wondering how "A Goofy Movie" is part of The Disney Afternoon, it's the movie tie in with Goof Troop.

#2 Darkwing Duck

I've talked about this a lot in my last post, but in this new show of DuckTales Darkwing Duck is a fiction character in a TV Show that Launchpad likes. We have got many references to this fictional Darkwing Duck, but my favorite one was when Mrs Beakley became a huge fan. I also can't wait for Friday's episode because it's all about Darkwing!

#1 Gummi Berry Juice
In the episode of DuckTales "From the Confidential Case Files of Agent 22", the secret potion that Black Heron is after was Gummi Berry Juice. Gummi Berry Juice is also the secret potion in the Gummi Bears TV Show! I think this was the cleverest reference to a Disney Afternoon show in this new reboot!

So those were my favorite references to the Disney Afternoon in the new reboot of DuckTales! What are yours? Tell me in the comments down below, on tweet me @ciphertube55 on twitter! See you guys next time, bye!

DuckTales Spin off Ideas

DuckTales is probably Disney Channel's most popular animated show right now, so there a chance that there could be a spin-off or two! Here are some ideas I have for DuckTales Spin-offs.

#1 Dewey Dew-Night

Dewey already has a fictional talk show in the world of DuckTales, but it would be awesome to have it be a real show! There already are a series of Dewey Dew-Night shorts on YouTube, but it would be cool to get full 20 Minute Episodes! They could go all out with the theming and have Interviews, Sketches, and weird things where they interview people on the street like on Jimmy Kimmel! It wouldn't work if there was a crew though, it would have to be just Dewey running it (maybe with some help of the other kids.)

#2 Darkwing Duck

Probably all of us Duck fans want a new Darkwing Duck reboot, but if we had it what would it be? Well there are a few options. In the universe of DuckTales, Darkwing Duck is a TV show that Launchpad likes, so maybe we could have episode of that show. But if that was the case, Launchpad couldn't be in it. I think the best idea would be to have Drake Mallard be inspired by Darkwing on TV, and become his own version of Darkwing Duck, with Launchpad as his sidekick!

#3 The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck

We've gotten a couple of backstory episodes for scrooge, but how cool would a whole show of it be! Inspired by the classic comics of Don Rosa and Carl Barks, this show could be a chronological telling of Scrooge's life from his childhood, up until the spear of selene incident.

So those were my DuckTales spin-off ideas! I think that Darkwing Duck would be the most realistic idea, but they would all be awesome. See you guys next time, bye!

These next weeks are gonna be a Duck Blur!!!

Yesterday we got a brand new episode of DuckTales, and we're getting a new one today too! And tomorrow! And the next day! Skip the next two days and we get another five episodes in a row! This is gonna be awesome, and today I'm gonna talk about the titles!
First we have treasure of the found lamp, I saw this episode yesterday and it was awesome! I loved that Doofus, Gladstone, and Selene were in it! That was pretty cool! I'm not gonna review the episode here, because I'm saving the review for DuckTales Episode Club. So let's move on to the next one.

Next we have The Outlaw Scrooge McDuck, This one looks awesome! It's out on Disney Now, but I haven't seen it yet. From what I've heard it seems to be set in the past, and it also seem to include one of Fenton's ancestors voiced by Lin Manuel Miranda!

After that we have The 87 Cent Solution! I heard that this one is about the kids trying to help Scrooge with his problem of freaking out over a few cent's. This seems like a cool concept!

Next we have The Golden Spear! I don't know what this one is gonna be about, but it might have something to do with the spear of Selene! I really don't know though.

Next is Nothing Can Stop Della Duck! I can't wait! I hope this episode shows Della getting back home, that would be awesome!!

After that we have Raider's of the Doomsday Vault! I don't know what the Doomsday Vault is, but it sounds cool!

Next up is Friendship Hates Magic! I heard that this episode will feature Lena! I wonder how she'll come back!

After that we have The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee! I heard that Gandra Dee was Fenton's girlfriend in the old show (I might be wrong I haven't seen that far), so this could be a Gizmoduck Episode!

And finally the most intriguing episode is ??? ???? ????? ???????! I don't know what this could possibly be! But the title isn't getting leaked anywhere! Is the title a spoiler for one of the episodes that aren't out yet? Or is it a spoiler for itself? That last one doesn't really make sense... Either way I'm exited!!!

So those were my thoughts on the new DuckTales titles! I know I haven't posted on here all year, but I want to keep posting more! I just need ideas! See you guys next time, bye!

My 2018

Hey guys! I know I haven't posted anywhere for awhile, but I'm finally back! Today is new years eve, and I'm going to go over all the awesome things that happened to me this year. 2018 for me started at Breckenridge Colorado, where we were visiting our Uncle. By then we were going to leave in a couple days, but before we left, we went to a tubing course, where we slid down a hill in inner tubes. Flash forward to February and it was the day before my birthday. My parents told me we were going somewhere that day. Which was weird because I knew we were going to Disneyland the next day on my actual birthday. I came into the living room, and it was full of presents! The first thing I saw was a letter that said we were going to the Disneyland hotel! It was my best birthday ever, and the biggest surprise of my life. Flash forward to May and I had just recently started posting videos on my channel again. It had been nearly a year, but I was having fun making new videos. Around this time, I heard that my favorite TV show DuckTales was coming back this month! I also heard about the special Duck Week event. I decided to make 7 DuckTales themed videos for everyday in Duck Week. I narrowed it down to 5 videos, and then one got corrupted, so I was down to 4. I almost decided to cancel it, but uploading the videos was the best decision I ever made. I saw that the DuckTales collection video was already at 70 views! That was insane for me. That and the Plushie video became the most viewed videos on my channel, and my collection video was my first to hit 1000 views! Flash forward to september at I was at 100 subscribers! 2018 was one of the best years ever for me, it had its ups and downs, but overall, it was awesome! Here's to 2019!

My Favorite Christmas Special

The holiday season is upon us at last! So today I'm going to talk about my favorite christmas special, Prep and Landing! Prep and Landing is a story about two elves that work at the Prep and Landing department at the North Pole, there job is to prepare for Santa, with awesome high tech gadgets. Wane, an Elf that has been doing this for over 100 years, has gotten bored of it, but it's Lanny's first year. It's a really good story, and has really cool gadgets. I can't recommend it enough! And the sequel is pretty good too! See you guys next time! Adventure On!

Thank You Stephen Hillenburg

Spongebob Squarepants is one of the funniest cartoons I've ever seen, and probably the most popular children's cartoons of all time. It was created by Stephen Hillenburg, who was an animator, cartoonist, and marine biologist. Sadly yesterday Stephen died from a disease called ALS. I want to write today not just about how great Spongebob is, but also how great Stephen is. Ever since he was a child Stephen was interested in the ocean, and he also became interested in art. He started out, by writing an educational comic for the Orange County Marine Institute called The Intertidal Zone. Later on, he started to work on the Nickelodeon show Rocko's Modern Life. After he got some experience from Rocko, he began work on his new show, Spongebob Squarepants. Spongebob was a HUGE hit, and currently is on it's 12th season! It's had two movies with a third coming soon, and Spongebob is one of the most recognizable characters of all time! So thank you Stephen Hillenburg, for creating one of the best shows ever, and being an awesome guy.
