Thank You Stephen Hillenburg

Spongebob Squarepants is one of the funniest cartoons I've ever seen, and probably the most popular children's cartoons of all time. It was created by Stephen Hillenburg, who was an animator, cartoonist, and marine biologist. Sadly yesterday Stephen died from a disease called ALS. I want to write today not just about how great Spongebob is, but also how great Stephen is. Ever since he was a child Stephen was interested in the ocean, and he also became interested in art. He started out, by writing an educational comic for the Orange County Marine Institute called The Intertidal Zone. Later on, he started to work on the Nickelodeon show Rocko's Modern Life. After he got some experience from Rocko, he began work on his new show, Spongebob Squarepants. Spongebob was a HUGE hit, and currently is on it's 12th season! It's had two movies with a third coming soon, and Spongebob is one of the most recognizable characters of all time! So thank you Stephen Hillenburg, for creating one of the best shows ever, and being an awesome guy.
